from my understanding just recently, an interesting initiative has emerged on the scene of postgraduate design research, the desgin research network. it is a discussion platform for design research activities, based in germany, with an international advisory board and supported by Deutsche Telekom Laboratories -associated institute of Technical University Berlin- and linked with the European Academy of Design (EAD) and the German Society for Design Theory and Research (DGTF).

the description on the website reads:

Especially those who are actually writing a Design PhD need good debates with various partners about their own topic.

So it is a matter of particular concern to us, making you never feel lost with your PhD research questions by enhancing Design Research debates among Design Researchers on this Forum. So feel free to create your personal research space/account here to store and share your personal Design Research issues.

Retrospettivamente, e su suggerimento dei nostri prof, mi permetto di segnalarvi un articolo pubblicato su Social Design Magazine redatto da me e Luciano Perondi (che insegna ad Urbino), a seguito del nostro soggiorno e alla visita allo studio CityID e a Bristol, a Febbraio.http://sdz.aiap.it/notizie/10089E’ solo la prima parte di una pubblicazione più ampia che realizzaremo antro la fine dell’anno su Progetto Grafico, alla quale spero seguiranno anche altri approfondimenti.In questa sede credo sia interessante rilevare come questo network nazionale ed intenazionale e questi risultati siano nati “semplicemente” dalla partecipazione al workshop di Aosta a cura di AIAP dell’otttobre scorso, sotenuto dal dottorato.Dunque da un piccolo sforzo finanziario della scuola si è già sviluppato molto.(Piccolo perché la ”gita” a Bristol non ha invece avuto nessun extra finanziamento)E’ un incentivo per tutti noi a continuare a lottare (faticosamente) all’interno della scuola, per le nostre piccole ma importanti conquiste quotidiane!
